Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether the used of the ELSA Speak application in learning English was able to improve students’ pronounciation of third grade MIPA 1 MA DDI Kanang. This research focused on pre-experimental research in one class pre-test and post-test. The population of this research was class XII MIPA MA DDI Kanang, which consists of 85 students. The researcher took one class as the research sample, namely class XII MIPA 1 which consisted of 30 students. The data were obtained from the pronounciation test while doing reading text in the pre-test and post-test. The results of this study indicated that the used6 of the ELSA Speak application is able to improve students' pronounciation which includes fluency, accuracy, and intonation. This can be seen in the average score of students in the pre test, which is 58.66 and increases to 78.03 in the post-test. This means that the use of the ELSA Speak application in learning English can improve students' pronounciation in class XII MIPA 1 MA DDI Kanang.
