Abstract
This research discuss about Code Mixing used by teachers of MTs DDI Palirang KabupatenPinrang of Learning on the Teaching speaking Learning process. This reseach aimed to find out the type of code-mixing,percentange using code-Mixing and reason of using code-mixing on the teaching process. This research focused on code-mixing used by teachers of MTs DDI Palirang Kabupaten Pinrang used Hoffman’s theory about Code-Mixing. The data then were analysed using qualitative method. The reseach used observation shett as the instruments to find out the valid data. The findings showed that there were 44 data of code-mixing from 1thteacher and there were 43 data from the 2nd teacher. The reseacher concluded that there were two types of code-mixing used by teachers they were Intra Sentential Code-Mixing on Involving Change of Pronunciation, thedominant type that the teachers used was Intra Sentential Code Mixing and the reason of using code-mixing were Quoting Somebody Else, Interjection, Repetition used for Clarification and Real Lexical Need.
