Abstract

This article aims to reframe religiosity and Qur'anic values within Islamic counseling as a conceptual framework designed to strengthen the resilience of contemporary Muslim families. This study employs a conceptual approach, examining Glock & Stark's theory of religiosity, Pargament's model of religious coping, and maqāṣid al-sharīʿah as the ethical foundation. The literature review specifically focuses on the context of Southeast Asia, particularly Indonesia, drawing upon sources from international journals, proceedings, and relevant national research. The analysis demonstrates that religiosity—encompassing dimensions of faith, worship, spiritual experience, knowledge, and moral consequences—plays a crucial role in bolstering family communication and harmony. Positive religious coping mechanisms, such as prayer, tawakkul (trust in God), and community involvement, function as adaptive strategies supporting family resilience against social and cultural crises. Furthermore, Qur'anic values like sakinah, mawaddah, and rahmah are proven to enhance family relationships, while maqāṣid al-sharīʿah offers a necessary ethical structure for counseling interventions. In conclusion, the integration of religiosity and Qur'anic values within Islamic counseling presents an effective conceptual solution for building resilient Muslim families amidst the challenges of the contemporary era.
