Abstract
This thesis explores the development of a contextual-based Arabic e�module focusing on the topic of Al-„Unwānu. The motivation behind this study arises from the challenges encountered in teaching Arabic amid the rapid technological advancements, highlighting the need for innovative approaches such as e-modules with engaging designs and detailed content. The aim of this research is to describe the prototype design of the e-learning module, assess its validity, and evaluate its effectiveness. The research method employed is Research and Development (R&D), following the development steps outlined by Sugiyono, which include: (1) identifying potential and problems; (2) data collection; (3) product design; (4) validation; (5) design revision; (6) product testing; (7) product revision; (8) usage testing; (9) product revision; and (10) mass production. The findings of this study include the creation of an engaging contextual�based Arabic e-module that effectively enhances students' understanding. The e�module's validity is confirmed with high scores: 88% from the first material expert, 82% from the second material expert, 80% from the media expert, 96% from the instructional expert, and 91% from student feedback. The e-module's effectiveness is categorized as 'moderately effective,' with pre-test scores averaging 41.2 and post-test scores averaging 79.36, resulting in a score difference of 38.16. The n-gain score is calculated to be 0.649573338, with a 65% improvement rate. Thus, the contextual-based Arabic e-module on the topic of Al- „Unwānu is proven to be quite effective in enhancing students' comprehension
