Abstract
This research aims to address the following objectives: (1) To identify the learning styles of eighth-grade students at MTs DDI Taqwa, (2) To assess the reading comprehension levels of these students, and (3) To determine if there is a relationship between learning styles and reading comprehension among the eighth-grade students at MTs DDI Taqwa Parepare. A correlation research design with a quantitative methodology was employed in correlation type assosiative approach this study. The population consisted of all eighth�grade students at MTs DDI Taqwa Parepare. A cluster random sampling technique was used, due to the evenly distributed student abilities. As a result, class VIII 1 was selected, comprising 29 students. The findings of this research reveal three main points: (1) Of the 29 students surveyed, 15 students exhibited a dominant visual learning style, while 9 students showed auditory dominance, and 5 students displayed a kinesthetic learning style. (2) The average level of students' reading comprehension is 7.83, which is categorized as considered sufficient. (3) Analysis using Pearson correlation shows a significant correlation between reading comprehension and the three learning styles. Specifically, the correlation value of 0.001 for reading comprehension and visual learning style indicates a correlation. The correlation value of 0.003 for reading comprehension and auditory learning style indicates that shows a correlation, while the correlation value of 0.003 for reading comprehension and kinesthetic learning style indicates that are correlated. Therefore, the stronger the students' visual learning style, the stronger their reading comprehension
