Abstract
Learning difficulties caused many impact to the students English Learning capability. It showed that students faced difficulties of lack vocabulary in understanding meaning at English. The purpose of this research were to describe English learning difficulties of students at Mts Pondok Pesantren DDI Patobong and the factors that cause English learning difficulties of students at MTs pondok pesantren DDI Patobong. The methodology used in this research was qualitative descriptive. The subject of this research was students and teachers at Mts Pondok Pesantren DDI Patobong. The subject were 1 English Teacher and 5 students. The collection technique used interview. Data analysis include data reduction, displaying and conclusion. The findings showed that the students‟ difficulties in learning English were; 1) Lack vocabulary which did not understand the meaning of the word referred to the cognitive aspect, 2) Difficulties caused by affective aspect which students fell difficult to finish task alone and students‟ fell difficulties; 3) Psychomotor aspect which students‟ did not have good self-confidence to speak and to explain the material with English.
