Abstract
ENGLISH : The result of this study reveal about strategies and models of cultural propaganda Nahdlatul Umala (NU) in Parepare with cultural propaganda approach towards religious tolerance hadith/ sunnah of the Prophet. In the city of Parepare, this study used qualitative descriptive research. Data collection did through direct observation, interview, focus group discussion and through study documentation. The data was analyzed by using content analysis. To analyze the meaning of the value and principles of cultural propaganda contained in the overall ideas and concepts in cultural propaganda NU Parepare Some cultural missionary movement that has been done by NU Parepare in guarding religious harmony, as follow: (1) investment value was culture itself as something noble. (2) develop a strategy propaganda through the value of local wisdom; (3) intensified religious dialogue, both internal, and external religion. (4) Making charter of Medina as a source of reference of comprehensive material to develop in cultural propaganda. While the value of Medina Charter , among others: brotherhood, equation, freedom, pluralism and diversity, tolerance, and the value of help. Cultural propagation problem is a part of an integral in maintaining and promote value of tradition/ culture, society, so it must be socializes intensively. Coverage of cultural propaganda to be more developed to the substance and nature of propaganda that can tough the real of diversity so that harmony among co-religionists can form a civil society.
