Abstract
ENGLISH : Hadith is one of the main sources of Islamic teachings beside the Holy Quran. Thus, reviewing hadith is an important part as the process of Islamic teachings implementation in everyday life. The paper reveals the quantity of hadith about kissing children which later was associated with an educational interaction between parents and children. The method used is takhrijul hadits, emphasis on the quality of sanad, matan, and rawi (narrator) as well as the presence or absence of mutabi and syahid in the transmission process. the result of the study about the hadith of kissing children as a form of parental affection in seeking God’s grace based on the statements of the critics to the narrators of hadith through Ibn Majah found that the narrators in the sanad is serial (muththasil). The quality and credibility of the narrators is tsiqah, with praise highly ranked and shahih fi isnadihi on hadith levels.
