Abstract

Tests help teachers to find out the effects of strategies and methods in learning process. Test is used to measure the level of development or progress that has been achieved by students. Technological developments very useful especially in education, technology makes it easier for teachers and students in the learning process, there are many portals, sites, and software that can use in the test and learning process. Google form is one of the popular platforms to do the test, hence, This research aimed to find out teachers’ and students’ perceptions toward using Google form as test media in SMAN 5 SIDRAP. This research used descriptive quantitative, the writer collected the data by using a questionnaire, Descriptive analysis is used to describe a situation or the nature of the data from each respective variable of the study, the population of this research was the students and English teachers of SMAN 5 SIDRAP, the total sample was 3 English teachers and 133 students determined by using purposive sampling. The result of this research showed that (1) Overall the teachers’ response results showed that 87% of responded in the easy category. Most teachers have a positive perception toward the use of Google form as an English test media. At preparation indicator, all items in the easy category. at the implementation stage, items 8 and 10 were 100% in the easy category, and in item 9 66% in the neutral category. Most teachers in the implementation stage were already in the easy category. In the evaluation indicator showed all items were 88% in the easy category, most teachers already know the process of giving feedback on student test results through the Google form. (2) The result of Overall, students’ responses to 15 items showed that 71% in the easy category. In preparation indicator, students’ respond to all items in the easy category. In the implementation indicator for every item was in the easy category. The result in the evaluation indicator showed the result of responded in the easy category.
