Abstract

This study aims to determine students 'perspectives on teaching methods of English teachers and how students' vocabulary skills in seventh grade SMP Negeri 2 Mattiro Bulu (Pinrang). This study uses a qualitative research design, with a sample of 28 students. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires and documentation techniques. This research was conducted because of the learning process that is still classified as classic and less effective. In addition, the role of students is still not maximized then the learning process that takes place during the morning makes students sleepy quickly and during the day makes students bored and bored with the teaching methods of the teacher. This has an impact on student learning outcomes, one of which is vocabulary
