Abstract
The aim of this study is to find out the effect of the use “Ruang Guru” application to increase students learning English achievement in SMPN 1 Pinrang. This research was carried out from April to May 2021, the sample in this study was class IX students of SMP Negeri 1 Pinrang, totaling 45 people. This is part of a population of 403 students. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the use "Ruang Guru" application to increase students English learning achievement in SMP Negeri 1 Pinrang. The research used data collection techniques, questionnaires, and documentation. The method used is correlation analysis with a survey approach, the calculation uses the product moment correlation formula. The results showed that the effect of using the "Ruang Guru" application method on students' English learning achievement at SMPN 1 Pinrang was obtained based on a questionnaire filled out by class VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Pinrang who used the Ruang Guru application. obtained r of 0.55. Ranging from 0.4 to 0.7 means a positive correlation is included in the moderate or sufficient category. By examining the table 'r' product moment that with a Df of 43 at a significant level of 5% obtained from 'r' table = 0.288 and at a level of 1% obtained "r" table is = 0.372 because the rxy or rcount at a significance level of 5% greater than r (rxy > r table ) 0.288 > 0.55 Hypothesis Ho. Rejected and alternative Ha is accepted. Thus there is a real relationship between the effect of the use "Ruang Guru" application to increase students' English learning achievement in SMPN 1 Pinrang accepted.
