Abstract

Robert Coe, Cesare Aloisi, Steve Higgins dan Lee Elliot Major dari Durham University, United Kingdom, dalam tulisan mereka yang berjudul What makes great teaching? Review of the underpinning research mengungkapkan setidaknya terdapat enam komponen yang bisa membuat proses pembelajaran menjadi sebuah proses yang sangat berhasil. Dalam istilah Coe, proses pembelajaran tersebut dinamakan great teaching (mengajar yang hebat) karena menghasilkan outcome pembelajaran luar biasa dilihat dari berbagai ukuran kompetensi dasar dan indikator kompetensi. Keenam komponen tersebut adalah Pedagogical Content of Learning, Quality of Instruction, Classroom Climate, Classroom Management, Teacher Belief, dan Professional Behaviours
