Abstract

This TEXT discusses "The Application of the Method of Recitation in Improving Student Learning Achievement in Islamic Education Subjects in Wajo 1 High School" Where the problem formulation is as follows: How to apply the recitation method in increasing student achievement in Islamic Education subjects at Wajo 1 High School? What is the learning achievement of students in Islamic education subjects at Wajo 1 High School? and What are the factors that influence the application of recitation methods in Islamic education subjects in SMA Wajo 1? As for this type of research is a qualitative study in which to obtain data using several methods such as interviews, documentation, observation and documentation where the data obtained is managed by reducing the data then presenting data and
making conclusions.

Based on the results of this study indicate that the application of recitation methods in improving student learning achievement in Islamic education subjects in Wajo 1 High School in outline through three steps namely assigning tasks, carrying out tasks and students accountable for their tasks or reports either verbally or in writing from what he has done. As well as student achievement in Islamic Education in Wajo 1 High School can be seen from three aspects, namely the cognitive aspect where the average value obtained is not below 8.00 from the whole student while in the affective domain the students can seen from the behavior of students such as the attitude of students respecting one another and being active in social activities. Factors that influence the application of recitation methods in Islamic religious education subjects at Wajo 1 High School are the time spent using recitation methods is quite a lot while the teacher must have completed the next material and there are students who are less able to work and do not answer when the teacher of Islamic education ask about previous material
