Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using student worksheets (LKS) effectively in learning English during covid-19 pandemic at the second grade in SMAN 5 PINRANG. The subject of this research is 34 students in the second grade in SMAN 5 PINRANG The type of the research is Descriptive Quantitative and Qualitative research. The instrument of this research used in data collecting consist of: (1) The questionnaire to find out the students' responses, (2) the interview of the English teacher. The results of the interviews were analyzed qualitatively and the results of the questionnaire were analyzed by calculating the percentage of student responses using the formula: P= X100% Based on the results of data analysis from questionnaires and interviews, it can be concluded that the use of Student Worksheets (LKS) in learning English during the Covid-19 pandemic can be said to be quite effective. This is evidenced by the results of the analysis of the questionnaire and the interview where the percentage score of the questionnaire is 63.44% and the results of the teacher's interview which state that the student worksheet can be said to be suitable for use in the online learning process.
