Abstract
Intan Sakynah Yunus. The Effect Of Inverted Learning With Elsa Speak On Students’ Speaking Performance At MAN 2 Parepare. (Supervised by Nur Asiza) This study aims to examine the effect of Inverted Learning integrated with ELSA Speak on students' speaking performance at MAN 2 Kota Parepare. The results of this study are expected to benefit teachers, students, and future researchers. Teachers can use this as an alternative instructional strategy, while students gain a more engaging and technology-supported way to improve their speaking skills. Future researchers may also use this study as a reference for related research. This study employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design, specifically a one-group pre-test and post-test design. The population consisted of 55 students living in the dormitory of MAN 2 Parepare, and 20 students were selected as the sample through random sampling. Data were collected through speaking tests and analyzed using SPSS. The speaking assessment followed Harris's (1969) rubric covering five aspects: pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. The results showed that before the treatment, the mean pre-test score was 62.60, with 75% of students in the Good category and pronunciation and fluency as the weakest aspects. After the treatment, both aspects improved significantly, pronunciation became more accurate and fluency more natural and continuous with the mean post-test score rising to 82.20 and 70% of students reaching the Excellent category. The Paired Samples T-Test produced a t-value of -16.430 and a significance value of p < .001, confirming a statistically significant improvement in students' speaking performance after the implementation of Inverted Learning with ELSA Speak at MAN 2 Kota Parepare.
