Abstract

Sri Wahyuni. Developing a Multisensory Digital Flipbook for English Vocabulary Learning for Elementary School Students. (Supervised by Muajiz Muallim). This study aims to develop a multisensory digital flipbook as a learning medium for English vocabulary learning for elementary school students. The research was conducted based on the problem that students often experience difficulties in understanding and memorizing English vocabulary due to limited and less interactive learning media. Therefore, this study developed a digital learning medium that integrates visual, auditory, and interactive elements to support vocabulary learning. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, consisting of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The product was developed by incorporating vocabulary materials, illustrations, audio pronunciation, example sentences, and interactive activities. The developed product was validated by experts and implemented with 26 fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 75 Parepare to determine its practicality. The findings revealed that the multisensory digital flipbook was considered appropriate based on expert validation and practical based on students’ and teachers’ responses. The integration of images, pronunciation audio, and interactive features provided a more engaging learning experience and helped students in learning English vocabulary. It is concluded that the developed multisensory digital flipbook can be used as an alternative learning medium to support English vocabulary learning for elementary school students. Future researchers are suggested to develop similar digital media with more interactive features and broader implementation.
