Abstract

INDONESIA : Tesis ini berjudul Model Kepemimpinan Kepala Madrasah dalam Pengembangan Profesionalisme Guru di MAN 2 Parepare. Fokusnya adalah kepemimpinan kepala madrasah dan profesionalisme guru. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah 1) Mendeskripsikan kepemimpinan kepala madrasah. 2) Mendeskripsikan strategi dan hambatan kepala madrasah dalam pengembangan profesionalisme guru di MAN 2 Parepare. 3) Mendeskripsikan model kepemimpinan Kepala Madrasah dalam pengembangan profesionalisme guru di MAN 2 Parepare. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif, rancangan studi kasus dengan sumber data kepala madrasah dan guru. Teknik pengumpulan datanya adalah teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data diolah dan dianalisis dengan cara, 1) reduksi data, 2) penyajian data, 3) verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Kepemimpinan Kepala Madrasah harus mampu melaksanakan tugas sebagai edukator, manajer, administrator, motivator, supervisor, inovator dan leader. 2) Strategi Kepala Madrasah dalam Pengembangan Profesionalisme Guru di MAN 2 Parepare adalah Penataran Guru, Kursus Pendidikan, Memperbanyak Membaca, Kunjungan Madrasah, Menambah Jam Pelajaran, Mengorganisasikan Materi, Menyesuaikan Materi dengan Kemampuan Siswa, Peningkatan Pemakaian Metode, Peningkatan Sarana, Membangkitkan Motivasi Belajar dan motivasi Guru, Melatih Kedisiplinan, Pemberian Insentif Tepat Waktu. Hambatan Kepala Madrasah dalam Pengembangan Profesionalisme Guru di MAN 2 Parepare, Rendahnya Profesionalisme Guru dan Pendidikan, Kebiasaan Guru Berkinerja Lemah, Salah Persepsi tentang Tunjangan Profesi, Kurangnya Pemahaman IT. 3) Model Kepemimpinan Kepala Madrasah dalam Pengembangan Profesionalisme Guru di MAN 2 Parepare adalah model demokratis. Implikasi penelitian memperhatikan perlunya pemimpin meperhatikan bawahannya melalui pengembangan profesionalisme guru. Diharapkan setiap pimpinan segera mengevaluasi kembali model kepemimpinannya selama ini, serta selalu berusaha untuk meningkatkan pengembangan profesionalisme guru di madrasah yang dipimpinnya. ENGLISH : This thesis entitled Leadership Model of Headmaster in Development of Teacher Professionalism at MAN 2 Parepare. The focus is the Headmaster leadership and teacher professionalism. The purpose of this study is; 1) Describe the headmaster leadership,2) Describe the Headmaster’s strategy and obstacles in teacher professional development at MAN 2 Parepare, 3) Describe the Headmaster’s leadership model in teacher professional development in MAN 2 Parepare. The type of this research is qualitative research, case study design with data source of Headmaster and Teachers. Data collection techniques are 1) Observation, 2) Interview, and 3) Documentation. Data is processed and analyzed by data reduction, data presentation, data verification. The results showed that; 1) The Headmaster are able to perform tasks as educators, managers, administrators, motivators, supervisors, innovators and leaders. 2) Headmaster’s strategy for teacher professional development in Man 2 Parepare are teacher upgrading, educational course, increasing reading, school visits, adding lessons, organizing materials, adapting materials to students' abilities, increasing methods, improving facilities, motivating learning and motivation teachers, practicing discipline, giving timely incentives. Barriers Headmaster in Teacher Professional Development in MAN 2 Parepare are low professionalism of teachers and education, weak teacher habits, misperceptions about professional allowances, lack of IT understanding. 3) The Headmaster leadership model in teacher professional development in MAN 2 Parepare is a democratic model. The implications of the study concern the need for leaders to pay attention to their subordinates through the development of teacher professionalism. It is expected that every leader will immediately reevaluate his leadership model so far, and always try to improve the professionalism of teachers in the school he leads.
