Abstract

Resilience of Mothers Caring For Children With Intellectual Disabilities. During the Covid-19 period, people are required to be able to adapt to the situation and changes that occur. It is not easy for parents who have children with intellectual disabilities to caring their children learning activities from home. This can trigger problems for mothers that can affect their role in providing positive care for children. The purpose of this research how description resilience of mothers who caring for children intellectual disabilities. The research method used is qualitative research with purposive sampling technique. The main of the researcher is understand to describe the resilience of mothers from their own frame of mind. Data collected by conducting interviews, observations and reports of the subject's consultation. The data collected was analyzed by theoretical coding. The results of resilience begin in the ability to accept and survive in difficult situations, emerging strength due to the support of partners, family and financially. Thinking skills and coping strategies are efforts made to achieve resilience. Reflecting on experiences and problems from various perspectives, believes that all difficulties are a test from God and comes from self-confidence that everything can be resolved with commitment and effort.
